Jan 13 – I can’t get up

to run. I set my alarm at 6:05, hoping to get up at 6:10, stretch for 15 minutes, and then run to the smokestacks and back. But I was so comfortable when I woke up, and it was dark outside, so I ended up going back to sleep.

Ugh. Weakness. I knew it would be hard for me to run later. And I did . I didn’t run today when I said I would. And my body is even fine right now. No pains, aches, and whatnot.

I brought my laptop to work so during my lunch break I can work on 24 Lives, and compiling the best of the best from my vocal recordings. And when I got home from work, I ended up working on it, but got distracted when Marie said she cooked some awesome chicken wings that she and Steve marinated the night before. So I succumbed like the weak bastard I am, and the 15 minutes I allotted to myself to eat became an hour and a half when I decided to watch It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia with both of them.

Always Sunny in Philadelphia – possibly the best sitcom on t.v. right now besides the Office? Perhaps…

Well, I went back to editing my tracks, and started to think what kind of instrumentation I could add to fill in the verses a little more, but then got super-tired about an hour into listening and listening and listening to my voice. So I gave up and decided to work on the 2nd chorus and 3rd verse tomorrow.

I also thought I might be able to hit the gym and run for an hour on the treadmill, but it was way too late when I thought I was near finished with editing. So I left that goal of mine today slide.

I am a backslider. And that feels bad. But I hope to accomplish my goals tomorrow. At least I backslid for music, and not for something else.
