Feb 1st -Superbowl. Or soup-per-bowl? A set of Haikus.

Dave and Isabel
Asked us to join their party
We said we’d be late

Marie fried the wings
It would take 60 minutes
I made the hot sauce

Marie, Steve, and I
Drove in Bushwick for a while
It was past 7.

Then we found their place-
Parking spot that’s right in front -
It was meant to be.

Dave and Isabel
Had us meet all their nice friends
Our wings were a hit

Jann was from Berlin
Lauren we met from Nick’s show
Isa’s cookies rocked

Rogan and Abby
Played flag football and sang in
A capella group

Steve brought stock paper
And I drew bizarre cartoons
Drew a self-portrait

It was me with sax
About to be eaten by
A huge piranha

Then I drew a girl -
held oboe with flaming reed
And who wore shark shoes

Marie drew box mouse
Isa hung it on her door
I went to rooftop

Met Jann and a guy-
Played acoustic bass, yet I
Didn’t get his name

We looked at skyline
The city seemed so quiet
This was not Pittsburgh.
